The silent victims

I was travelling from Narayanganj to Dhaka standing in a public bus along with my mother and elder brother. As it was getting impossible to stand among all the men, I requested a male passenger to leave his seat for me. But I was shocked at his reply and did not dare to ask anyone else. It is very tough for a woman to stand among men on a public bus in Bangladesh, because many of them try to take advantage of the situation and often harass the women beside them. Something must be done to help the female passengers have a safe and respectful journey.
