Overcrowded classrooms

The classrooms of our government-run colleges are overcrowded. The students who have to attend the classes and the teachers who have to take the classes know what a noisy situation prevails there. Rows of benches packed with students - with five or more students sharing a single bench - is a common sight of these classrooms. As many as one hundred and fifty students sit in a single room. Although the population has increased rapidly over the years, most of the colleges, built a few decades ago, have not been extended. No new classroom has been built. As no microphone is provided to the teachers, they have to speak in loud voice. Moreover, the teachers fail to interact with the students. Thus, the quality of teaching suffers and the students do not receive the desired education.
