Storekeeper dies in fall
A storekeeper of a construction site died after falling off multi-storied buildings at the city's Gulshan yesterday.
Police recovered the body of Lutfur Rahman, 35, from the elevator shaft of a 12-storied under-construction building of Assurance Developments Ltd on Road No. 7, Gulshan in the morning.
According to Raju, brother and co-worker of the victim, Lutfur went up to the fifth floor around 8:30pm on Sunday to watch television and did not return to sleep on the first floor that night.
In the morning, workers noticed the victim's sandals near the elevator shaft on the fourth floor and found the body below the shaft. Police suspect Lutfur fell down from the fourth floor sometime during the previous night.
