Road crashes kill 2
Two people were killed in separate road accidents in the city yesterday.
A college student was killed under the wheel of a bus at the Doyal Chattar of Dhaka University campus yesterday.
The deceased Shafiqul Islam Ripon, 21, was a student of a private polytechnic college in the city.
His friend Abu Tyeb Fahim said they went to the Dhaka University campus to hang out. A Mirpur bound bus ran over him while they were crossing the road at Doyal Chattar at about 7:00pm.
Meanwhile, A truck hit Anwar Hossain, 45, at Shyampur in the city yesterday, leaving him critically injured.
He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 1:30am.
