A gang of muggers stabbed a constable of Bangladesh police posted at the UN Peace Mission in Sudan and snatched his passport, airline ticket and cash in front of Rajarbagh Police Lines early yesterday. After enjoying a month's leave, Abdul Motaleb, 30, a constable of Patuakhali Sadar Police Station, was on his way to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to resume his assignment. Motaleb and Subedar Abdur Razzak both in plainclothes were at Gate no 3 when three armed muggers in a taxi cab intercepted them around 4:30 am. They stabbed Motaleb in the head and made away with his bag containing his passport, airline ticket, Tk 13,000 and $ 50.
