Scrutinising starts tomorrow
Bangladesh Bank will start scrutinising 37 applications, submitted by sponsors and entrepreneurs for permission to set up new banks, tomorrow.
“The Banking Regulation and Policy Department will examine the applications in light of the conditions mentioned earlier,” AFM Asaduzzaman, general manager of Bangladesh Bank Governor's Secretariat, told the news agency over phone yesterday.
The central bank received the applications on Wednesday, the closing day for submitting applications.
