Death anniversary
Today is the 40th death anniversary of martyred Lieutenant Bodiuzzaman, Bir Protik.
On this occasion, a qurankhawni and a doa mahfil will be held at his Gopalganj residence and Shaheed Lieutenant Smriti Sangsad and Pathagar at Ramdia College in the district, said a press release.
On this day during the Liberation War of 1971, Bodiuzzaman was killed in a battle against the Pakistani occupation force at Azampur in Akhaura of Brahmanbaria district.
Born in 1949, he was commissioned in the armed core of the then Pakistani army in 1970.
