Anti-corruption Day today
Transparency International, Bangladesh (TIB) will organise a cultural programme and discussion in the city to observe anti-corruption day today.
The daylong programme, “Youth gathering and cultural event against corruption”, open for all, will be held at Rabindra Sharobor in Dhanmondi with the slogan “Sing the songs of freedom, resist corruption”, says a TIB press release.
TIB trustee board member Selina Hossain is expected to inaugurate the programme while State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Capt (retd) Tajul Islam will be the chief guest.
Singers of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, the first Bangladeshi radio channel to emerge during the War of Liberation, will render songs and Yes, a theatre platform established by the inspiration of TIB, will stage an anti-corruption drama.
