Road crashes kill 3

Three people, including a headmaster, were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Lalmonirhat, Jamalpur and Chapainawabganj on Thursday and yesterday. Our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports: A motorcycle rider was killed when a goods laden truck hit the motorcycle on the Rangpur-Kurigram road at Khedabag in Sadar upazila yesterday. The deceased was Manoarul Islam, 45, son of late Ismail Hossain, of Khedabag village and also a vegetables trader. Our Jamalpur correspondent adds: A headmaster of a school was killed when his motorbike collided head-on with another motorbike at Gaokura of Islampur upazila in the district yesterday. The deceased was Mahbubur Rahman, 43, headmaster of Dengergor Bazlul Haque High School of the upazila. Our Chapainawabganj correspondent says: A motorcyclist was killed and his two fellow riders were injured when a tractor hit the motorcycle on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid Land Port highway at Baroghoria bazar of Sadar upazila on Thursday evening. The deceased was Mohammad Mokim, 30, son of Saidur Rahman, of Sahapara village of Shibganj upazila.
