Prof Taher's 2nd death anniversary observed

Teachers and students of Geology and Mining Department of RU yesterday observed 'mourning day' on the second death anniversary of Prof S Taher Ahmed, the founder of Geology and Mining Department in Rajshahi University. The senior teacher was killed on February 1 in 2006 at his campus residence. A meeting will be held today at the department with a fresh call for trial and punishment of the people responsible for the killing. The department has decided to name its research laboratory after him.
