The joy of learning
Thanks to our education minister Nurul Islam Nahid, the students got their textbooks in the early days of 2012 as gifts of the New Year. The pictures in the newspapers quite surprised me, as most of the students of primary level were jumping and laughing with joy after getting their books. They loved the smell of the new books; the colour, the pages, everything encouraged them to study. Their smiles covered the front page of every single newspaper!
However, I am very much sure that these jovial students won't remain happy for long, because as they grow up, they will face the ordeals of coaching business, question paper leaking, etc. And it is very hard to overcome all these hardships and be a good student. I urge the authorities concerned to stop all these bad practices as those destroy the morale of a student. Happy New Year to the warriors of tomorrow!
