2 die as trains hit them in Sirajganj
A youth was killed after being hit by a train in sadar upazila of the district yesterday.
The victim is Royal Talukder, 30, son of Belal Hossain of Pashchim Pargachha village in Natore.
Sirajganj GRP Station ASI Mofiz Uddin said a Rajshahi-bound intercity train from Dhaka hit Royal and ran him over at Saydabad at about 9:00am while he was crossing the rail tracks.
In another incident, a youth died instantly as he was run over by a Dhaka-bound intercity train, Lalmoni Express, at Jamtoil Station in sadar upazila when he fell on the rail tracks at about 2:00am, police said.
The deceased Inamul Haque, 22, is the son of Anowar Hossain of Baraigram village in the district.
