Unite to foil plot
Speakers urge people
Leaders of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League yesterday said the defeated forces of 1971 with the help of BNP-Jamaat and other militant forces tried to grab state-power illegally but the armed force foiled their conspiracy.
Speaking at a rally in front of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC), they called upon all patriotic people including Swechchhasebak League leaders and activists to be united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to foil any sorts of conspiracy.
Advocate Molla Abu Kawser, president of the organisation, chaired the rally.
Swechchhasebak League General Secretary Pankaj Debnath, Matiur Rahman Mati, Jahangir Ahmed, Advocate Tapos Pal, Saleh Mohammad Tutul, Kazi Shahidullah Liton, Mobasser Chowdhury, Debashis Biswas, Probal Roy and Sima Roy spoke at the rally.
Earlier, they brought out a procession from Bangabandhu Avenue demanding exemplary punishment to those who tried to unseat the government unconstitutionally.
