Three children killed in road accidents
Four people, including three children, were killed and one was injured in separate road accidents in Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Lalmonirhat yesterday.
In Dinajpur, a minor boy was killed in a road accident.
Police sources said a tractor hit Aleb Noor, 3, son of Afiz Uddin of Gouripur village under Sadar upazila, while he was playing on a road in the village, leaving him injured critically.
He was rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Our Mymensingh correspondent reports: A mother and her daughter were killed as a Mymensingh bound truck from Haluaghat ran over them while they were crossing the road in front of Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex at around 11:30am yesterday.
Critically injured Shilpi Begum, 30, wife of Ruhul Amin, and her daughter Runa, 3, of Sangra village in Haluaghat, were rushed to the upazila health complex where they succumbed to their injuries, said Haluaghat police.
In Lalmonirhat, one class-one student was killed on the spot and his classmate injured critically as a truck hit the two children on Lalmonirhat- Burimari highway at Jorpukur village of Hatibandha upazila while they were trying to cross the road.
The deceased was identified as Kawsar Hossain, 6, son of Toslim Uddin of the village.
Injured Raton Islam, 6, son of Royhan Miah of the same village, is now under treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
