Police yesterday recovered 10 rifles, one light machine gun and six magazines from Bhadughar village in the district. Police said, while digging a deep trench, construction workers stumbled upon the arms and notified the police. They said the weapons seemed have been buried there for a long time and they might belong to the liberation war period. SP Jamil Ahmad said all the arms would be examined to determine their date of manufacture.
