Ahmed Sharif's birthday today
Today is the 91st birth anniversary of Dr Ahmed Sharif, a renowned scholar, writer, researcher of medieval Bangla literature and a forerunner of free thought movement in the country. On the occasion, Dr Ahmed Sharif Commemoration Lecture, organised by the Bangladesh Bhasha Samity, will be held today at the auditorium of the Modern Language Institute of Dhaka University at 4:00pm. Prof Golam Murshid will deliver the commemoration lecture while Prof Monsur Musa will chair in the function.
