Ban on RU Shibir politics demanded
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong University (CU) unit, at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club, yesterday demanded ban on Islami Chhatra Shibir politics on the campus.
Md Mamunul Hoque, president of CU unit of BCL read out the written statement while general secretary MA Khaled Chowdhury was present among others.
Their other demands include trial of the killers of Mujahidul Islam, withdrawal of false cases filed against the BCL activists and reopening of the university.
Mujahidul, a Zoology department student of RU, was killed in a clash between BCL and Shibir activists on February 8.
