Campaign to save tigers
Wildlife Trust of Bangladesh (WTB) will launch a campaign today to raise awareness among the mass people regarding the aims and objectives of The Sundarbans Tiger Project. Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the daylong programme on the campus of Khulna University (KU). The programme includes a colourful rally, painting competition, discussion meeting and cultural function participated by country's eminent artistes. WTB has taken up a five-year long campaign to create awareness among the people on how to save the tigers in the world's largest mangrove forest, said Anwarul Islam, chief executive of WTB.
