Ctg road crashes kill 2, injure 15
Two people were killed and 15 others injured in separate road accidents in the district yesterday.
Two people were killed as a truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Sitalpur in Sitakunda yesterday afternoon.
The deceased are Ibrahim, 35, and Ishak, 40, passengers of the auto-rickshaw and residents of Joramtala.
In another incident, 15 people were injured as a human hauler overturned at Tigerpass intersection in the port city yesterday morning.
The injured were Pradip Nath, 33, Mohammad Daud, 20, Md Sabuj, 20, Md Yunus, 29, Ali Rabbi, 28, Md Hasan, 17, Nurul Huda, 58, Basumitra Bhikshu, 60, Shah Alam, 29, Md Sajjad, 18, Shahid Alam, 22, Nurul Hoque, 65, Saroj Kumar Hajari, 61, and Md Shafique, 25.
Sources said the Agrabad bound human hauler from Bahaddarhat intersection turned turtle at the intersection, leaving them injured instantly.
They were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
