Ahsanullah Master's anniversary of death today
Today is the eighth death anniversary of Ahsanullah Master, former lawmaker of Awami League. On the occasion, various programmes have been chalked out in Gazipur and Tongi. The programmes include recitation from the holy Quran and a discussion at his grave at 9:00am and a milad mahfil at his Tongi residence and Gazipur municipality office after Zohr prayers. A food distribution programme will also be held among the destitute at Board Bazar in Gazipur after Asr prayers. Besides Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Smriti Parishad and some other organisations will organise different programmes throughout the month, family sources said. Ahsanullah Master, a freedom fighter and a lawmaker from Gazipur-2 constituency and also a Sramik League leader, was shot dead at a rally of Swechchhasebak League in Tongi in 2004.
