Wazed Miah's anniversary of death today
Today is the third death anniversary of Dr MA Wazed Miah, eminent nuclear scientist and husband of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He passed away on this day in 2009 at Square Hospital in the capital after prolonged illnesses, said a press release. Dhaka city unit of Awami League (AL) chalked out a daylong programme to mark the day. The programmes include recitation from the Holy Quran and milad mahfil after Zohr prayers at AL central office. Recitation from the Holy Quran and milad mahfil will be held at Sudha Sadan residence of late Wazed Miah at Dhanmondi.
