Assoc for Aged executives
Engineer Nazrul Islam and Prof Dr ASM Atiqur Rahman were elected president and general secretary of Bangladesh Association for the Aged and Institute of Geriatric Medicine (BAAIGM).
They were elected for the period of 2012-2013 through an election held on Friday, said a press release.
The other office bearers include Farida Begum (Moni), and Dr ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud, vice-presidents, GNR Abul Bashar, treasurer, Md Abdul Quiyum, joint secretary, Md Mizanur Rahman, organising secretary and Md Elias Chowdhury, cultural secretary.
Besides, Toyeba Khatoon, Md Lutfar Rahman, Abdur Rab Bhuiyan, Lutfunnesa Harun, Shawgat Hossain, Dr Abdul Baqi, Rafiqullah Patwary, AK Abu Hanif, Touhid Bin Muzaffar, Rowshan Akhter Rahman and Alhaj Sayeda Nilufar Quaderi were elected as members.
