Two workers die in iron plate fall
Two workers were killed as an iron plate fell down on them while working in a lighterage ship at Banglabazar in the port city on Saturday night.
The deceased were Iqbal Hossain, 28, and Abul Kalam 30, both hailing from Lalmai upazila of Comilla.
The accident occurred when an iron plate fell down on them while they were closing the cover over the cabin of New Four Eastern-1 ship at Chanbali Ghat in the area.
Kalam died on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) while Iqbal at the hospital.
