College girl 'commits suicide'
A college girl allegedly committed suicide in Jatrabari area of the capital in the early hours of yesterday.
The deceased Rawshan Jahan Ripa, 20, daughter of Abdur Rashid Hawladar, was a second year student of Motijheel Ideal College.
Ripa's elder brother, Ripan Hawladar, said they found her hanging from a ceiling fan with scurf in her bedroom at sehri time.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared her dead around 4:45am.
Jatrabari police said the reason behind the suicide could not be known immediately.
The body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
