Robbers loot valuables, injure four
Robbers looted valuables, including 2.5 tolas of gold ornaments, from a house on Chunkutia Girls' School Road in South Keraniganj yesterday.
Four people were also injured, one of them with bullets, in the broad daylight robbery.
Police said 5-6 robbers attacked the house of one Sharif around 1:00pm and looted 2.5 tolas of gold ornaments, one mobile phone set, and other valuables worth about Tk 2 lakh at gunpoint.
Soni, 24, wife of Sharif, her six-year-old son, and her younger brother were injured while trying to resist the robbers.
Rahim Badshah, a guard at the house, sustained bullet wounds as the robbers fired at him when he tried to prevent their escape.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
