Deal signed to help improve women's nutritional status

Two NGO's have signed a deal to help improve nutritional status of women and children. The WorldFish Center, Bangladesh and SPRING Bangladesh--will promote aquaculture, particularly of nutrient-rich small fish species and seasonal vegetables, for consumption and sale. About 6,000 households from each of 12 upazilas in Barisal and Khulna will be covered, says a press release. William J Collis, regional director of The WorldFish Center, Bangladesh and South Asia, and Elizabeth Isimhen Williams, country manager of SPRING Bangladesh, signed the deal at the office of the former on August 8.
