'Bangabandhu a great narrator'
The recently published autobiography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman unveiled a great narrator within him, which never came to the limelight before, speakers said at a programme yesterday.
The book titled "Oshomapto Atyojiboni" and its English translation "The Unfinished Memoirs" also revealed some untold stories of his life that he wrote in jail, they remarked.
“This book shed light on the great narrator inside him. I wonder how minutely he captured memories of the events that he observed decades before he wrote them,” said eminent journalist and writer Anisul Haque.
They came up with the observations at a programme at the capital's Liberation War Museum to commemorate the 37th death anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The programme was also addressed by Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman and cultural personality Ramendu Majumder.
The unfinished autobiography of Bangabandhu was launched on June 18. The book portrays, among others, the language movement, founding of Awami League and Chhatra League, and the Agartala conspiracy case.
