Malaysian minister due after Eid
Malaysian Human Resources Minister Datuk Dr S Subramaniam will visit Bangladesh after Eid-ul Fitr to observe Bangladesh's recruitment procedures before starting to hire Bangladeshi workers, Malaysian daily The Star reported Friday.
Malaysian Cabinet Committee on Foreign Workers and Illegal Immigrants agreed to send a delegation led by Subramaniam as its industries require foreign workers mostly in plantation and manufacturing sectors.
Subramaniam said the government would consider recruiting Bangladeshis if a suitable mechanism was established.
