Worker dies from electrocution
A construction worker died from electrocution in Munshi Pukur Par area of Chittagong city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Selim Miah, 50, son of late Md Abul Kalam of Char Mondol village in Companyganj upazila of Noakhali district.
Selim was electrocuted as he came in contact with an electric wire while he was working at an under construction building in the area, quoting the victim's coworkers Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) outpost police said.
Selim was rushed to the CMCH where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead at around 1:30pm, the police added.
