Boy dies from electrocution

An eight-year-old boy died from electrocution in the capital's Kalabagan yesterday. The deceased was identified as Rakib, son of Shah Alam, a resident in the area. Rezaul Karim, sub-inspector of Kalabagan Police Station, told The Daily Star that the victim came in contact with a live electric wire while playing at his home at around 1:30pm. He was rushed to Shamarita Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
