One killed over trivial dispute in Sirajganj
A man was stabbed to death and his father and brother were injured following a quarrel over a trivial matter with their neighbour in Sirajganj yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sabuj Akanda, 25, son of Seraj Ali Akanda of Chargachabari village in the upazila.
Injured Seraj Ali, 50, and Nur Mumammad Akanda, 23, are undergoing treatment at Sirajganj Sadar Hospital.
A quarrel began between Sabuj and his neighbour Abdur Rashid when one of Sabuj's cows damaged a field of Rashid.
Following the quarrel, a group people with local weapons led by Rashid attacked Sabuj. Sabuj's family members also came under attack as they tried to help him, police said.
A case was lodged and police arrested Altaf Hossain, 45, and Amirul Islam, 25, in this connection.
