DU admission process begins
The process for admission to the first year honours courses in 2012-13 academic sessions at Dhaka University (DU) begun yesterday.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the online admission process at the university's Registrar Building at 12:00 midnight.
Admission seekers have been advised to visit DU website www.admission.univdhaka.edu for necessary guidelines, and they have been asked to fill up their admission forms through the online by September 15.
Candidates have also been advised to contact the DU authorities at 9669934 in case of any problem while filling up the admission forms.
Students, who have passed the higher secondary or equivalent examinations in 2011 and 2012, will get the opportunity to sit in the admission tests.
Admission tests for five units -- Science, Humanities, Business Studies, Social Science (Unit Change) and Fine Arts -- will be held on October 12, 19, November 2, 9 and 16 respectively.

Admission process at Jagannath University (JnU) will begin today. Admission seekers can apply till September 27 by short message service through any pre-paid numbers of mobile phone operator Teletalk. Candidates will have to pay a total of Tk 350 to apply for the admission tests which will begin on October 12. The JnU authorities suggested the applicants to visit JnU website, www.jnu.ac.bd, for necessary guidelines.
