Man commits suicide in capital
A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a branch of a tree near his residence in the capital's Adabar area around 4:00am yesterday.
The deceased was Abdul Malek, 20.
Matiur Rahman, sub-inspector at Adabar Police Station, said the reason behind the incident could not be known immediately.
Quoting relatives of the deceased, he said Malek was addicted to drugs.
The man also tried to commit suicide by drinking poisons three days ago, he added.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
An UD case was filed in this connection.
