Cuet celebrates University Day
Chittagong University of Science and Technology (Cuet) yesterday celebrated its 9th University Day with a multitude of festivities.
The celebration began with a colourful procession on the campus. A rally was also held where Cuet Vice Chancellor Dr Md Jahangir Alam spoke as chief guest.
Professor Emeritus of Chittagong University Dr Jamal Nazrul Islam, also a syndicate member of Cuet, and Abu Sufian, president of Chittagong Press Club, were present as Guests of Honour.
Cuet, previously Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT), Chittagong, was converted into a university in 2003. It was founded as an Engineering College in 1968.
