Two bodies recovered
Bodies of two people found floating in two water bodies in Gazipura area of Tongi and Kamrangirchar on the outskirts of the capital yesterday.
In Gazipura, Riaz Mahmood Asif, 14, drowned when he went to take bath in a canal near Gutia primary school around 12:00pm.
Fire service sources said a team of divers from Dhaka rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
In Kamrangirchar, body of Dulu Mia, 65, was found floating in a water body near the Kamrangirchar sluice gate area.
Quoting the victim's family members, Habibur Rahman, sub-inspector at Kamrangirchar Police Station, said Dulu went missing since Thursday morning.
Dulu was mentally ill, claimed his family members.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College for an autopsy.
