School headmaster sent to jail for attempted rape
A special court in Moulvibazar on Thursday sent the headmaster of a high school to jail for attempting to rape a woman.
Court sources said judge of the Special Tribunal for Prevention of Women and Children Repression rejected the bail prayer of Sribash Chandra Das, headmaster of United High School in Barlekha upazila, and sent him to jail.
According to the case statement, Sribash attempted to rape the wife of an expatriate in his village on March 13 this year.
The victim filed a case with Barlekha Police Station. After an investigation, police found that the allegation was true, and filed a report to the tribunal.
