Schoolteacher held for molesting class III student
A schoolteacher allegedly molested a class III boy student during private tuition at the student's residence at Uttar Kafrul in the capital yesterday evening.
Family members and neighbours caught the teacher, Tazul Islam, 29, and gave a beating before handing over to Kafrul police.
Azharul Haque Ferdous, managing committee chairman of Uttar Kafrul High School, said Tazul Islam was a temporary teacher at the school. He was suspended immediately after the managing committee got complaint from the student's family last night.
Tazul had been providing private tuition to the student for a year. Earlier, the student reported the “bad behaviour” of the teacher to his family members, they said.
