OBR chapter to be launched in capital tomorrow
One Billion Rising (OBR), an international campaign to end violence against women, will launch its Bangladesh chapter tomorrow at Goethe Institute in the capital's Dhanmondi.
V-DAY, a global movement to end violence against women, has initiated the campaign, says a press release of V-DAY.
The chapter, which will be led by feminists representing numerous organisations across Bangladesh, will implement a series of initiatives in the country in the lead up to the 15th anniversary of V-DAY on February 14 next year.
A number of organisations, including Manusher Jonno Foundation, have signed up for the campaign.
