Himu Murder Case
Charge-sheet ready for submission
Police have finished the investigation of Himu murder case and will submit the charge-sheet soon.
Investigator of the case Inspector Md Alamgir yesterday said they would submit the charge-sheet upon an order from the higher authority.
Asked whether names of the all the accused were included in the charge-sheet, he declined to say anything.
A total of five persons were accused in the killing case filed with Panchlaish Police Station. They are Himu's four friends Junaid Ahmed Riad, Saju, Danny and Shaon and Riad's father Shah Selim Tipu.
Himadri Majumder Himu, 18, an A-level student in Chittagong city, was allegedly pushed off the roof of a four-storey building in Panchlaish Residential Area on April 27 by his friends. He died 26 days later in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, Himu's family and friends doubted the authenticity of the charge-sheet, saying that a few days ago, an extortion case was filed against five police officers, including officer-in-charge of Panchlaish police.
