Obituary
Ruma Matin (Lamya Begum), wife of ABM Abdul Matin, a language movement veteran, ex-diplomat and media professional, passed away on September 12 at Lab Aid Specialised Hospital in the capital at the age of 65. She left behind a daughter, three sons and a host of relatives to mourn her death. She was buried at Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in Mirpur. Ruma was an alumnus of Chayanaut (first batch) and a first grade Tagore songs artist of Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan and subsequently of Bangladesh Betar and Television.
