Case filed against 115 for N'ganj violence
Police yesterday lodged a case against 115 people on charges of vandalism and assault on the law enforcers during clashes in Siddirganj of Narayanganj on Sunday.
Siddirganj Police Station Sub-Inspector Yasin Mian filed the case.
At least 50 people including five policemen and two journalists were injured in the clashes with ready-made garment workers in the area centring a rumour that a worker was killed by muggers.
The workers also torched a police van, four motorcycles and a police box.
Meanwhile, workers were seen joining their duties at different factories in Adamjee EPZ in the area yesterday.
