Stolen goods seized, 3 held in Ctg
Three people were held with stolen goods worth Tk 21 lakh from the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port on Wednesday.
The arrestees are Ziauddin Hawladar, 39, Moyez Uddin, 25 and Hefazur Rahman, 45.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bangladesh Coast Guard (East Zone) raided an engine boat at the outer anchorage and arrested the trio with 16 gas cylinders, two welding machines, 30 kilograms of iron scraps, 80 kgs electric cables and two hot-air blowers, said a press release.
