Preserve Liberation War photos Says AK Khandker
Planning Minister A K Khandker yesterday urged the country's young generation to preserve photographs captured during the War of Liberation in 1971 to present the real history before the nation.
He said many rare and important photos of the past were lost due to indifference of the authorities concerned.
He was addressing the inaugural session of a national photography exhibition that began at Teachers Students Centre on Dhaka University campus yesterday.
DU Photographic Society and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) are jointly organising the week-long exhibition, which will be open to all from 3:00pm to 09:00pm everyday.
Photographs of around a thousand students from different schools, colleges and universities were exhibited there.
