Two commit suicide in capital
Two people including the wife of a policeman committed suicide in the capital's Sabujbagh and Rampura areas yesterday.
Latika Rani Sarker, 30, wife of Sub-Inspector Hirendra Nath Pramanik who is working at Shahbagh Police Station, hung herself from a ceiling fan with a rope in her room in Sabujbagh area.
Quoting from a suicide note of Latika, police said she [Latika] had been suffering from a chronic disease. She took her own life due her illness.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) morgue, he said.
Meanwhile, Mizanur Rahman, 22, hung himself from a ceiling fan with a saree in his room in Rampura area.
The body was sent to DMC morgue.
