Youth dies as train hits him
A youth was killed after being struck by a train in Karwan Bazar area of the capital yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Akanda Nannu, 27, hailing from Sirajganj district.
Sources said the train hit Nazmul while he along with his friend Jahangir Hossain Biplob was walking along the Tejgaon railway tracks near FDC gate in the area.
With injures in the head and back, Nazmul was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 2:10pm.
Nazmul came to Dhaka to visit his in-laws' house in Mohammadpur area.
