Workshop on Bioinformatics begins in Ctg
A two-day long international training workshop on bioinformatics and computational biology has begun in Chittagong yesterday.
In association with The Daily Star, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and Chittagong University (CU) jointly organised the workshop titled "Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in South Asian Perspectives".
National Professor Dr Nurul Islam, also founder vice chancellor of USTC, inaugurated the programme at the USTC campus.
Young researchers, teachers and students from Bangladesh, Japan, China and India are participating in the workshop.
CVASU VC Prof Mahfuzul Bari, Cuet VC Dr Md Jahangir Alam, CU Pro-VC Dr Md Alauddin and USTC Pro-VC Dr Ishaque Chowdhury also spoke as special guests on the occasion.
