Ten 'robbers' arrested in Comilla
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested ten youths allegedly involved in an inter-district robber gang and recovered firearms from Bishwa Road rail gate area on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Comilla early yesterday.
They were Aminul, Sumon, Bablu, Nasir, Tajul, Jalil, Alam, Tamjeed, Palash and Monir.
On information, a team of Rab-7 set up a check post in the rail gate area. The team halted a microbus of the gang while passing through the area to commit a robbery in Comilla, says a press release.
Later, the Rab arrested them from their vehicle with a foreign pistol, a foreign revolver, 18 rounds of bullets and two rounds of empty cartridges and seized the microbus.
