2 train ticket scalpers held in Ctg
Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two alleged scalpers including a railway staff in Chittagong Railway Station and recovered 64 tickets from their possession on Monday night.
The arrestees were Lutfor Rahman alias Jewel, 27, of Chittagong, and Kabir Hossain, 29, of Comilla.
On information, a DB team, led by Sub-Inspector Humayun Kabir, conducted a drive near Hotel Manila around 8:45pm and arrested them red handed while they were selling those tickets to people.
During interrogation, Lutfor, a railway security guard, admitted that some ticket booking clerks are involved in ticket black-marketing, said the DB Assistant Deputy Commissioner Tareq Ahmed.
