Govt makes Bangla Academy standard mandatory
The government made mandatory the use of standard Bangla spelling as approved by Bangla Academy in government activities.
The Cabinet Division issued a circular yesterday stating that different spellings were being used while writing Bangla in different ministries, divisions, directorates, organisations and offices.
It also recommended that all of the aforementioned collect sufficient dictionaries published by Bangla Academy.
