Visiting Kenyan team learns about infant, maternal mortality rate

A Kenyan delegation has been on a six-day visit to Bangladesh to gain insights into the latter's progress in reducing infant and maternal mortality, said a press release. The delegation, headed by Permanent Secretary to the Kenyan Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation Mark Bor, held discussions with Bangladeshi health officials during the visit that started on October 28. They also visited Bangladesh's Narsingdi district, where mother and child related health services have significantly improved with the support of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh and technical cooperation of Japan International Cooperation Agency.
